Engine resting on steering rack.

Post by pilly »

Hello,
So the title says, an e30 m10 engine was swapped over and it seems as though the bell housing is slightly different or the bottom cover plate at least. The car actually vibrated quite a lot at any revs to be honest and am hoping the solution to this will stop the rattles.

So does anyone have any experience with this? Or at least any ideas... It looks like a might have to break out the grinder for this....

Thanks
Andy

The motor came with new e30 mounts... so now i'm thinking they might be a little lower when installed compared to e21 mounts??

Id defo get new e21 mounts rather than take an angle grinder to it.

In fact I'm 60% sure that the e21 engine mounts legs are different then the e30's
