E21 in action at Croft

Post by Nick »

Especially for Jeroen, an 'action' shot.

Thats our Chris driving, and thats me next to him clenching my butt cheeks.. and that's our modest little 1.8 carby nearly lifting a wheel.

Hey awesome pictures, i have a question for you, i´m going to buy a 1.8 engine to put it in my e21 316, do you know the specs of the engine?

I wolud like to know what type of camshaft it have, what tipe of pistons, horse power, top speed, acceleration etc.

i will be very gratefull if you can answer that

Now I am not the biggest M10 technical guru but the 1.8 is just about identical to the 1.6.. the 2.0 is much the same but has much better tuning potential.

The 1.8 you see in the pictures is virtually stock but with a Weber 32/36.. which gives an ever so modest 90hp at the flywheel.

Its the trick suspension and the gutsy driver that makes the difference.
