Tire recommendation

Post by Kpeters »

Hey guys wanted to hear your recommendation regarding tires for my E21.

I currently have the FPS basketweaves but also have a set of the Mahle-BBS ones that need some work. The car has a 2.7 stroker with the solex 4 a 1 and this my
curren tires 185/70/13 just don't do the trick.

I was thinking about going 205/60/13 I've seen that the cars look a little lower with those tyres and they look really nice. Thing is would the 205 be a problem with
those rims? And will it suffice to handle the torque of a 2.7 on the back?

Another concern is I got mechanical steering and it's already very hard to use I bet 205's won't make it easier.

Thoughts?

I ran 205/60x13's back in the day. No rubbing etc. I run 195's up front, with no pas & a quick-rack.

Great do you think 205's in the front would create any rubbing? I like to have all tires that same size so I can rotate them side to side back to front etc. If necessary.

Great thanks don't wanna be messing up my speedo readings. Going 60/205 messes it up for just 1 km/h.
