Hazard problem.....not the usual one(i think)

Post by sleeperviva »

Evening gents

I encountered the usual problem of the hazard light switch failing to pop back in so went ahead and just bought a new one from the main stealers. Went to fit it just now and i now have no hazards at all......not even a chirp :goodnight all i get is the clock dimming a bit when the button is pressed.
Im confused! Had a gander at the haynes book of lies but that hasnt really helped....could i just be unlucky and bought a duff switch? or is there a dedicated hazard relay hiding somewhere? all i can find is the indicator relay under the column

Any thoughts???

Steve :stupidme

They all use the same relay afaik. Indicators working? Then perhaps a bad switch indeed?

Indicators are indeed functioning as they should

Does the hazard circuit somehow share any wiring with the clock? The dimming of the clock isnt what id expect of a duff switch
