Removing outer sills.

Post by Eddie. »

I want to remove the outer sills on my E21, but I can't quite seem to see how they come off?

I'm probably just having one of those moments, but do they come off? If so, how?!?

I've highlighted the section that I mean in the photo below:

Cheers.

Thought as much :(

Do they need to come off for someone to do some welding work around the jacking point?

No need to do sills if jacking points need doing.

Outer sills run from front to back, dut as the go past the door, than de run BEHIND the sidepanel. Take a look in my topic around page 31 and further. You can see how they are taken of an put on the car.

New outersills can be bougt at Walloth&Nesch, not at the dealers anymore. Be carefull with the inner sills, those are of the market...
