This is my E21. Just starting his restoration. More rust than I expected but I didn't pay much.

1983 318i Automatic
140.000 km

Original paint at the moment=henna red
Current state=Under construction.Or shall i say demolishion.Body=Bad Mechanical=Good Electrics=Some flaws

Please give me your opinion. Or suggestions.

:oops: only just noticed! Nice to see you here as well, welcome!

Yep there's quite some work on the car but if it was cheap and you can do some (or maybe all?) of the work yourself it doesn't have to be too bad.

I think i can do most of mechanics and electrics but I don't have a welder.
First I will strip the car carefully, remove rust, zinkcoat the bare metal. And then hand it over to the professionals. For restoration of the body and the paintjob(probably black). Then I will take matters in my own hands again.

I bought myself some 13" Turbine's. these are 5.5" wide.
First I hand cleaned one with water ,toothbrushes, and sanding paper.

But for the others I Bought some wheelcleaner (Nanotech wheelcleaner from turltlewax) And used a High pressure cleaner(cant come up the englisch name). Wich made the work a lot easier and I'm completely refinishing them. Including repairing the curb damage.
