How easy is it to change the complete steering column

Well .

You have to grind off / cut the pressed studs that hold the top where your knees go. Undo the steering link universal joint, then undo the bolts that hold the bottom of the rack on.

It sounds simple but it's one of them jobs that results in a bad back.
