Front Valances

Post by L1nezy »

Hi everyone,

I am new to the site so apologies if this topic has been posted already.

I recently picked up a 1982 E21 320. It came with the bbs front valance which I think is a bit too square. Does anyone know where I can find different valances/give any info for fitments (i.e if any valances won't fit onto the car due to model age etc.)

Also the chrome running around the front has been dented, is this cheap to replace/fix

Comments much appreciated

Thanks

L1nezy

Perhaps some people can share some photos of possible E21 front spoilers that fit your '82 facelift chassis. Some alternative options that come to mind: Alpina, Kamei X1, Zender.

As for chrome trim around the front, that was never there from the factory but I've seen it before. Sounds like the car had a creative previous owner that tried to imitate the chrome trim from more luxurious models like E23 7 and E24 6?

Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for the reply.

Ive attached a link to some photos of the car, hopefully it works. Apologies for the mix up, i was talking about the chrome bumper on the front.

Ah, he means there's a dent in the kidney grille.

This metal is pretty soft so with a bit of care it can be knocked back into shape. Don't try & remove the top notch though - it's supposed to be there to allow clearance for the bonnet!
