Thing is they stop crap off the back wheels splattering the side of the car when I drive up the alley at the side of my house. When I wash the car, the water runs down the alley, take newly washed car onto the road, and muddy water splashes as you drive out - dirty car.

They do trap dirt in places - clean it off when you wash the car.

Wish I could vote again!!

Mudguards are good for rallying dude, but tell you the truth as wizor says they rot, with the e21`s, where there connected on to the lip area of rear side valance which when i got my e21 it had mudguards and next day i took them off and was rotten so now i have a new set of side valences i need to weld on cos of those effing flaps, its why i say noway to them....

Just to add the damage had been done before I got the car, massive hole in the front wing and it's prematurely started problems in the floor/jacking points most e21s know well. Mind you this is a 1990 E30, I would not put them on my e21!
