Thanks Jeroen, yes it WILL be at Sharknose 2016, I'll probably bring it on a trailer, so it will definitely be there.Jeroen wrote:Like it? Love it! Ready next May or so?
I'll be taking the shell and panels to the paint shop next weekend for the next stage and the special paint

gaps? because race car...

Re: Classic Thunder Build - Duracel79 - England
I keep saying to my dad "that will do, its only a race car", and he responds with "you need to do it justice with the amount you're spending on it, look at this bit, lets make that better".croma_man wrote:gaps? because race car...
TBH he is going to be playing with the final touches to the front wings this week without me, I'll just keep concentrating on the mechanical / performance bits and leave him to it.
As long as its ready for the paint shop on Saturday I don't mind.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Hi all,
Bit more progress, finally got the shell to the bodyshop.

Had to wait for this to be sent home as it takes up too much space

Bit of seam sealing and a factory style sealant over the underside.

And then some paint

Then some lacquer, although it looks similar

And finally fitted some old temporary suspension.

Next up will be interior paint and lacquer then boot and engine bay.
Cheers

Nice progress and nice way of not revealing the colour yet.
