Hello everybody!
I'm working on my engine bay (respray) as it's going to get a new engine soon and to make more space, look more sharp and get better weight destribution I'm thinking of relocating the battery to the trunk/boot. Now I decited to get the positive pole to engine bay via interor (under the floor mat) but I'm having troubles to figure out where to put the grounding. I've seen photos on internet where people just bolt it to the rear wheel well but is there a better spot and is this safe? How about the wall betweeen the boot and rear seats? Do you have any advices about picking the spot and battery relocation related (my first time).
Thanks!

Doesn't really matter where the grounding point is, the key thing is to remove the paint to make a good electrical contact.
But also make sure it's bolted down well - either weld a captive nut behind or place it somewhere you can get a nylock on the back of the bolt.

I welded a stud in- on the wheel arch, just because it suited the cable run. More important is making sure the +ve cable can't chafe anywhere

I used just an ordinary welding cable you can buy. no idea on size.
make sure you connect it well.
