this is the inside, does anyone know why there is this strengthing bar on just onside? bmw after thought maybe???

I'm hoping you're kidding about not knowing what that bar is - that contains the fuel pipe from the tanks to the filler cap.
Hope you haven't tried to cut it off.
Gulp...

haha love your work. my sledge hammer is my favourite tool. very helpful for inner guard work. and for undoing stubborn bolts!

keep the photos coming... :D

ps. if you're going to lower it lots, dont forget to use the hitty stick on the panels inside the inner front guards. you know the ones that are sharp and point down like a big dirty knife, ready to splice into your tyre when you hit a bump at high speed. that wouldnt be pretty!

if you track your car, you will soon realize that a wide tire on a skinny wheel can be very unprecise as the tires' shoulders will be round and flexy. But hey, it all depends on what is done with the car.

Sincerely, I wouldn't consider anything under 8" wide, and would aim at 8,5" if possible, on all four corners. That will allow to fit some 235.45.15

right, well i did fricking loads on car today which is good, although i have cracked the screen on my i phone so couldnt take pics while i was doing im afriad cos didnt wanna get oil in the cracks. will try and take some pics tomorrow though
fitted the front coilovers today, put new polyflex bumpstops and 400lb springs, cut some more of the arch out from the wing so allow for greater turning,
coated the insides of the archs in stone chip
rivited the front arches on and trimmed to fit
sprayed them and the front splitter in satin black so not bright yellow n e more.

just got rear arch to do and order the new rear springs and coilover kit so can lower the back

messenjah has now taken my wheels to get banded ready for the rears, should be done by next week with a bit of luck

gonna fit robs zorst on the car and then get car MOT'd looking on track so far

pics tomorrow though, will do my best
