Pas Conversion, How Is The reservoir Fitted?

Post by e21Keith »

Converting my 323i to power steering and I have all the bits (I think) but I don't know how the reservoir for the fluid is mounted to the car, is there a bracket already there or do I need to transplant one?

Pics appreciated!

On the inner wing. Yes you have to drill two holes for that :? but the offset of the welded brackets matches the shape of the wing.

Many thanks. Does anyone have dimensions or a template, or is the inner wing already marked with some dimples perhaps?

No markings and no template afaik, but with a water level on top of the tank it is quite easy to figure out where it should be, just clear of the fusebox cover.
